Known Issue: User of Microsoft Edge may receive a 404 error when loading Powerpoint, Word, or other Office documents within Blackboard. A recent update to Edge has caused an issue with Edge and Blackboard with opening attachments. The issue relates to a default setting in Edge that must be changed in order to download files in Blackboard.

Primary Solution:

Please follow the steps below: 
 

1. Open Edge settings
2. Select Downloads
3. set Open Office files in the Browser to Off

Once you change this setting, please go back to Blackboard and try opening the presentations again.

Alternate Solution:

Use a different web browser like Chrome or Firefox
